Timothy B. Naomi, D.D.S.
Dr. Naomi earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to complete a two year General Practice Residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, and an internship in Oral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and The Special Care Dentistry Association. Dr. Naomi is also a contributing author for the textbook, Surgical Procedures and Anesthetic Implications, by Lynn Macksey, CRNA.
While enjoying all aspects of general dentistry, his special interests include oral soft tissue pathology, dental management of medically complex patients, as well as management of mentally and physically disabled patients.
Dr. Naomi holds full dental surgical privileges at WakeMed Raleigh. This gives our practice the ability to offer conscious sedation and general anesthesia, for those patients who need it, administered in a safe, hospital operating room environment monitored by board certified anesthesiologists. This is of particular benefit to individuals with severe dental anxiety, mental or physical disabilities, or medical complexities that make treatment in the office setting impossible. Dr. Naomi will work closely with the patient's primary physician, as well as WakeMed's anesthesiologists, to insure that this service is offered safely. Our practice has well established, excellent relationships with the operating room staff at WakeMed Raleigh, insuring that your care will be a pleasant and positive experience.
